Why Lawsera

Counsel you can run a company — or a family — on

01

Partner on the file

The attorney you meet is the one who drafts, negotiates and appears. No rotating junior desk.

02

Fees in writing first

Fixed or capped fees on most advisory work, agreed before anyone starts the clock.

03

A line you can reach

A named lawyer on every active matter — not an intake desk that takes a message.

04

Fewer files, better work

We take the matters we can finish well. If we cannot help, we say so in the first conversation.

How we work

From the first call to a result you can live with

Four steps. The same attorney stays on the file from the first conversation through the close.

  1. 01

    Case evaluation

We hear what has happened, say whether we can help, and write down the scope.

  2. 02

    Legal strategy

A named partner sets the path — what we file, what we wait on, and what it will cost.

  3. 03

    Representation

The same attorney drafts, negotiates and appears. You always know who is on the file.

  4. 04

    Resolution

We close with a result you can point to — and papers you can keep.

“ Corporate

They told us, in the first hour, what they would not do. That was more useful than a long pitch. The close happened on the date we had already put in the board pack.

Helena Ortiz General counsel, Northvale
“ Family

We always knew the next step, and we always knew who was on the file. The parenting plan is something we can actually live with.

Daniel Reeves Private client
“ Mergers

The sale papers were ready before the buyer’s counsel asked. We took the board memo into the next meeting and nobody had a leftover question.

Amira Cole Founder, Harbour & Co.
“ Property

Title cleared the week we needed funding. The same lawyer who took the first call was the one who signed the escrow letter.

Thomas Pell Property client
“ Employment

The exit memo was short, dated, and something I could hand to the board without rewriting it. That is the only reason the settlement held.

Leah Morin People lead, Veldon
“ Litigation

They would not file until the numbers were in the room. When they did file, the other side asked for a date. That was the whole case.

FAQ

Common questions before you instruct Lawsera

Clear answers on the first call, fees, and how a file opens — general guidance for new clients, not advice on your matter.

Thirty minutes with an attorney. We tell you whether you have a problem, how urgent it is, and what it would cost to start. If you do not need a lawyer, we say so.
Whatever you already have: letters, contracts, court papers, emails. A short timeline in your own words is more useful than a perfect file.
Most advisory work is a fixed or capped fee agreed in writing before we begin. Contested work is billed against a budget we review with you. Nothing starts until you have that paper.
Yes. The first consultation is with the lawyer who would take the file — not an intake desk that takes a message.
It depends on the forum and the other side. We give a range in the first memo and we update it when the facts change. We do not invent a date we cannot keep.
Yes. Video meetings are standard. We appear in person when a hearing, signing, or negotiation requires it. Travel is agreed in the engagement letter first.
A named attorney owns the file. Juniors may research and draft, but you always know who is accountable and how to reach them.
Bring the last letter and the engagement terms. We will say whether a second opinion or a clean handoff makes sense before anyone is retained here.
After you have a written scope and a fee. Urgent filings can begin the same week when conflicts clear and the engagement is signed. Nothing opens on a handshake.
No. If we cannot staff it properly, the forum is wrong for the budget, or the conflict check fails, we say so in the first hour and point you elsewhere when we can.
